SOFTWARE developer Visual Retailing has moved its business from York to larger premises at Roecliffe Business Park following rapid expansion.
Visual Retailing creates virtual reality software for the fashion industry and has enjoyed strong growth with a product development team in Romania and several resellers based throughout Europe, the United States and India.

With this in mind, Mana
ging Director Colin Liversedge decided to move the business to larger premises.

The firm needed a location near the A1 with a broadband service that was fast, reliable, and robust enough to handle large volumes of traffic – allowing the team to develop and demonstrate their products online, in real-time, with colleagues and customers throughout the world.

A broadband initiative led by NYnet helped Visual Retailing choose the Roecliffe site. By connecting Roecliffe Business Park to their core network, NYnet, in partnership with Internet Service Provider Save9 , was able to offer super-fast broadband capability.

Colin Liversedge, Managing Director of Visual Retailing, said: “We were delighted to be able to keep our operations in North Yorkshire and even more pleased to be situated in such a beautiful rural office space with excellent connectivity. Without NYnet we would have had to find an office near to an exchange to guarantee the high-speed uninterrupted connection our business demands.”

David Cullen, NYnet Chief Executive, said: “We were pleased to be able to offer a package to Save9 that would enable Visual Retailing to keep its base in North Yorkshire.

“Innovative companies like this need to be encouraged to stay in the region and enhance the local economy.

“We are working with Yorkshire Forward to supply more business parks with the same high-speed network, with a view to making North Yorkshire rival the capital with its prosperity.”
